In 2014, I took a class in social reportage (street photography, more or less) from a photog who has since become a friend. I recently came across some photos from that class that I wanted to share—I was shooting on my brand new Canon PowerShot G15, which traveled everywhere with me for many years. I just had that converted to 720nm infrared and expect to share more photos from it soon. These shots are from a community and refugee resource center where we spent several sessions getting to know the folks from the neighborhood. A couple of girls there wanted to show off their dance moves.

Much of the local Bhutanese refugee community lived in the neighborhood near the center (a converted church), and many of the younger folks liked to hang out at the park across the street from the church.
