In 2014, I took a class in social reportage (street photography, more or less) from a photog who has since become a friend. I recently came across some photos from that class that I wanted to share—I was shooting on my brand new Canon PowerShot G15, which traveled everywhere with me for many years. I just had that converted to 720nm infrared and expect to share more photos from it soon. These shots are from a community and refugee resource center where we spent several sessions getting to know the folks from the neighborhood. A couple of girls there wanted to show off their dance moves.

One of the boys was fascinated by the twin lens reflex camera belonging to one of the class members. I get the attraction—TLR cameras are like steampunk digital cameras with an electronics-free view screen.
