Yay :) They are fun to watch. Sometimes I manage to go right up to the tree they are picking at and put my ear to the trunk to hear the sound really up close.

That must be quite an experience! My #woodpecker was too far away unfortunately (there's not much you can do with 150mm max), it flew frantically from tree to tree and branch to branch, pecking here and there and screeching the whole time, as if it were looking for something. 🤷‍♀️ It was still great, and unexpected, to spot one. 😊 #Buntspecht #Specht #greatSpottedWoodpecker
