I love that image. Super vibrant colors. The great thing about using a flash and diffuser is it lets you stop down on aperture to like f/11 (mostly what I use) and get more depth of field. If you’re already doing stacking then you’re going to have some amazing shots coming up soon. All my macro pics are single shots. I tried stacking but I can’t keep my hands steady enough. And yeah practicing on still subjects first is a good idea. You’ll find that some insects are more tolerant than others

Yeah this stacking was after lots of trial and error - and hundreds of shots from many attempts - I think I will try some single shots first to test the flash before I introduce stacking again. This lil beetle was certainly patient with me 😅 Happy holidays 😊
