Oh nice those diffusers look great - I'll aim to get one some day 🤞 I'm going to focus on insects and fungi I think, but I feel I might end up leaning towards the latter? as they don't move around 😅 My favourite photo so far (with this lens, but before the flash) has been this Leaf Beetle that's a stack of 32 images. Otherwise I've just been using my phone so far. I'm excited to experiment more!

I love that image. Super vibrant colors. The great thing about using a flash and diffuser is it lets you stop down on aperture to like f/11 (mostly what I use) and get more depth of field. If you’re already doing stacking then you’re going to have some amazing shots coming up soon. All my macro pics are single shots. I tried stacking but I can’t keep my hands steady enough. And yeah practicing on still subjects first is a good idea. You’ll find that some insects are more tolerant than others
