We'll be taking Tabitha to the emergency vet this morning. Last night, she was constantly trying to pee, and looked like she might be in pain. Hopefully it's just a kidney stone. We stuck her in the kitchen overnight, with food and water and litter and comfy places to lay down that are covered in potty pads. The vet's opens in an hour and a half, and at least one of us has slept enough to do the driving. #cat #floof #longhairedcat #tuxedotabby #fedicats #pixelcats #catlovers #cats #chats #katzen #gatos #gatti

The emergency vet's office ran a blood test, did an ultrasound so they could find the bladder and pull a sample, got a UTI diagnosis based on the sample, and had another ultrasound session to check for signs of anything else. Treatment is antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids. We'd already been doing twice-weekly fluids for Tommy's kidney issues, so we have the basic supplies and experience, and they gave us some extra needles. She was greatly praised by all the techs and the vet, for being a *very* pretty kitty with *such* soft fur, and especially for being *so* easy to work with.
