In a way, yes. But you can't deny that the amount of humans on this planet was more or less stable at 1 billion for centuries, and then rose to 8 billion in only the last century and a half. Surely this planet wasn't designed to sustain that. Also, I'm pretty sure eliminating around 10% of all humans would already tackle the biggest problem, if those 10% are all billionaires

@puikepuck @TheHeartoftheTARDIS Rich people are never framed as overpopulation. Overpopulation is poor people in Africa and Asia, and was already called that when there were 4 or 5 billion people total. What makes you think people were wrong about that in the 70s (if 7.2bn are more or less OK, 5 is just peachy) but 8bn was actually the "design" limit?
