It truly is and also mind-boggling, the sheer size of the wall, winding its way across the country, no matter the landscape. And those steep steps! Unfortunately we only saw a tiny glimpse for only a short time, the rest of the China trip was megacities. They are also fascinating of course, but on a very different level. I wish we had spent more time in nature, but then where to begin in this enormous country?

I can Imagine there is so much to see. The Taklamakan desert would be fantastic to see
