Sorry, I forgot to reply! 🫣 We're still in the introduction period where they see each other but haven't touched yet. I put them together in the shelter at night to help them get used to each other (they can't see well in the dark and are calmer, but can smell the new ones), but I separate them when they get up, otherwise the dominant hen will peck the little ones and they can't escape. We're going to put them together tomorrow and see what happens. 😅 The new hens will get pecked to establish the new pecking order, that's normal. But they are still much smaller than the old hens and I'm worried they get hurt, so I will have to monitor them closely. But the new chickies seem confident and feisty, so fingers crossed it will go smoothly! Can't wait to not get up at sunrise anymore to keep them apart 🥱
