@headofcatdept Mine is more of a weather protection in the rain. One side is open. I've now put a warm blanket inside for the winter. Winters in Germany are certainly a bit milder than in Russia. We have a few old huts in the area. I think they have taken up residence there. They then come to my feeding place to eat.

Cats here mostly live in the heated basements of apartment buildings. People even make holes for the cats to have easy access. So most of the times winter houses are not needed. But there are some unfortuned ones who have no heated shelter.
