Hey #mastobikes friends, my rear tyre's sidewall has developed a hernia. Is this salvageable? (Compass 52mm smooth tyres)

I switched them for some fat Schwalbes... given the decrepitude of our streets here, I really can use a bit of extra puncture resistance.
