From that spot I could see 6 bridges total, with another just around the corner.

Beneath the bridge was noisy, a nearby foundry making a racket.

I walked upstream to a riverfront park, where it was quieter. There I could hear, but not see, geese.

At the park there were WPA project stoneworks- walls, steps, retaining walls- and at river level the borough pump station. All interesting and worthy of follow-up. 🙂
