They are otherwise pretty safe ... it's a very large park surrounded entirely by city stuff, I suspect sickness/disease is their only worry ... but definitely something ill ask about, there's a local birding club that recently adopted the park ... they've roped off large sections for nesting, it's a bird watchers paradise lol

Interesting! We've got plenty of foxes, weasels, martens, raccoons, rats, and whatnot, that wouldn't say no to a tasty flightless duck snack, even in cities (though we might have different ideas about what counts as a city 🤭)
