In honor of #InternationalDarkSkyWeek , here’s my first attempt at imaging M81 (Bode’s Galaxy, bottom) and M82 (the Cigar Galaxy, top), both 12 million light years away. Not the best capture, as I’m still figuring out the nuances of my Dwarf 3 scope, but I wanted to share.
