The moon sets behind the Statue of Liberty. A gift from France, the figure commemorates independence from monarchy, abolition of slavery, and hospitality toward refugees. The work continues, so pick appropriate tasks and bear down. (I apologize for repeating the subject, however beautiful the sculpture and the moon may be, but I find nighttime exposures to be challenging, so I need the practice.) #photography #NYC #moon #Brooklyn

At 10F (-12C), the controls and touch screens become increasing difficult to use as the fingers grow numb. By the end, I wasn't sure that I really wanted to feel my fingers again, but concluded it was probably for the best to thaw them.
