I just read for the #MyNovelLife challenge (rules in the comments): THE GRAVEYARD APARTMENT by Mariko Koike (English translation published in 1988, when I was 26). It has been a long time since I disliked a novel as much as I disliked this one. I found the quality of the writing very poor (especially the dialogue), the supposedly spooky scenes were badly mishandled, and the story itself failed to deliver anything original. By the halfway point, I was utterly bored but struggled on hoping it would get better. It didn't. #bookreviews #bookworm #booklover #bookbloggers
