I was thinking and wondering if I had read this and then realised: this was the vampire in Banff or Canmore or something?

The books start in Toronto with Vicki being an ex-cop with Retinitis Pigmentosa and coming across Henry Fitzroy a romance writing vampire. This the 5th book in the series is a transition between the Blood series featuring Vicki Nelson and the Smoke series featuring Tony Foster. I haven’t read the short stories but the main novels don’t happen in Alberta. The TV series Blood Ties was very loosely based on the novels but that Henry wrote graphic novels and it lacked Tanya Huff’s sense of humour.
