@Redbunhead has been after me to build a little shelf for our bar so it looks less cluttered. If you know me, I can make functional things (e.g. a woodshed, a trellis for our grapevine, etc.), but they are seldom pretty or precise. Enter the shelf. I finally got some downtime and used some wood I had laying around from our attic and god knows where else. They weren’t wide enough to span the entire needed depth so I offset them and joined them with wood glue and dowels, then sandwiched them between 2 end pieces with more glue & dowels. I even learned to use my router to bevel the edges! Tomorrow I’ll sand the edges flush (since I again am not precise) and pass it on to m’lady for staining/painting. Also, the glove on my workbench thought I did an awesome job 🤘🏼 #DIY #woodwork #woodworking #router
