Is the character from the mug some local story?.. It looks interesting with that signing instrument.
It's the character called Snufkin from the Moomin stories (books by the finnish author Tove Jansson). He is a vagabond and free spirit, and the instrument he plays in the picture is a harmonica
Hah! Interesting, sounds like me, but not as cute as Snufkin, minus the harmonica. ;)
