Chess

Fidelity International's "The Classic", an electronic chess set from 1985. Sporting "32K of chess software", the Classic had advanced features like "thinking on opponent's time", castling, and taking back up to two moves. A #chess board older than me, found in a #goodwill for $5. #chessboard

I'm on a campaign to play against all the levels of the Fidelity Electronics #Chess board. Like many chess computers, Fidelity had their computer analyze moves and counter moves, evalute them according to a score, and then pick the highest score. Difficulty was set by how long the computer can analyze a position. At level 1, it can take up to 10 seconds; at level 7, three minutes. At level 8, the classic will think until the player stops it. According to the the website Spacious Mind, the Classic has an estimated ELO of 1350. Level 1 was fairly easy.
