Very nice shot. I like the curve of the river framed by the bright autumn colors. Of course I've messed around a bit with it! Notably, selectively reduced the yellow channel on the near grassy slope. Then overall some luminosity adjustments here and there. -Phil

What I'd suggest is rather than specific edits and such, an understanding of the reasons, planning, and process involved. The place to start is with Ansel Adams and Fred Archer and their development of the "Zone System" c1940. They were part of a photography renaissance that began in the 1920s with "Group f/64". -Phil
