into the garden - winter arrives with memories of spring This is the fourth in a series of paintings that illuminate the transformative beauty of the natural world. To visually express how total immersion into wild spaces can create a profound sense of peace; restore wonder; and generate calm in an increasingly chaotic world. Pine trees line the distant shore of a lake, backlit against a stormy blue-gray sky. In the foreground, on a snowy bank, a solitary stone rests. Upon its face, two closed eyes and a linear pattern of foliage. Atop its gray head, a bit of snow and white, ghost-like blooming flowers from memories past. NOTE: This description created especially for my lovely blind friend, Georgiana. :-)
