Paper Faces - The Human Psyche FACES. We all have them. They fascinate me. Expressions in particular - from subtle to extreme. OLD PAPER. These too share qualities of human expression. From long ago handwritten notes, aged newspapers and maps to worn paper stained with time. In this series of prints, I combine them to create whimsical "stories" about the nature of being human. On a background of white, in varying shades of orange, gold, green brown and red, 21 semi-abstract, comical pencil faces are drawn. They're emotional states are depicted and range from bored, paranoid, tearful, blah, puzzled, avaricious, shocked, terrified, fill with longing, etc... Old note paper, maps, currency, etc... comprise some of the paper they are drawn on. NOTE: This description created especially for my lovely blind friend, Georgiana. :-)
