As his feet hit the ground the human lifted his head to look at her. It had been a long time since Eirien had been so close to another being.

The strangerās face took on a hint of a smile, āI donāt want anything from you. Unless youāre offering something interesting.ā His smile faded, āIām simply trying to prevent any unnecessary bloodshed. And a great number of humans seeking blood are wandering this part of the woods. Seeing as you are an elf, I imagine you would not like to cross paths with them.ā
The relatively tall, lean human bent down and ran his fingers across the earth. He filtered soil and some leaves through his grasp as if inspecting it. The stranger seemed rather unbothered by Eirienās presence.
