Dorine

These are the pink flowers of the Saponaria officinalis. In the photo a small piece of stem (horizontal, coming from the left in the middle) with in the middle and right of the photo a bunch of 15 small pink flowers and about 10 still in bud. The sepals of the flowers are rolled up into a tube of one centimeter, from which the light pink petals protrude (5 petals per flower). It has rained. Some flowers are a bit wilted by the rainfall, but others have already recovered. Lots of raindrops lie on the leaves. The background is vague and darkgreen in which various different types of leaves still can be recognized.
